Carla Mowat graduated from University of Pretoria in 2014 and went on to complete her community service year at Far East Rand Hospital. Thereafter, she worked at a private physiotherapy practice in Pretoria East as well as at Wilgers and Pretoria East hospitals.
In addition to her honours degree, Carla has completed the Orthopaedic Manipulative Physiotherapy Certificate presented by the South African Society of Physiotherapy which focusses on the management of patients with neuromusculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. She has also completed courses in pain management, chronic pain and dry needling.
She has a special interest in spinal conditions as well as chronic pain conditions and enjoys working with older patients and younger patients alike. Carla believes in educating patients with chronic pain conditions to keep performing and living life to the fullest.
Carla has completed the Two Oceans and Kaapsehoop half marathons and is an avid runner and hiker, which allows her insight into injuries in the active population.
