Frequently Asked Questions

Will physio help my problem?
This obviously varies from case to case. If you aren't sure get in touch and I'll happily advise you.
What should I bring?
Bring any referral letters, x-rays, sonars or other tests. If you don't have any of these, just bring yourself!
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in. Bring shorts if the problem is anywhere below the waist. Ladies, remember a hairband or clip so your hair doesn't get oily if the problem is neck pain or headaches.
Will you submit to my medical aid?
Unfortunately, I do not submit claims to medical aids. You have to pay me and then claim back from your medical aid.
How do I pay you?
You can pay by cash, card or EFT. I will email you an invoice after your appointment. I do have card facilities.
How much does it cost?
The first session which includes an assessment is R600, thereafter follow-up appointments are between R450 and R550.
Do you charge medical aid rates?
How do I claim back from my medical aid?
I will provide you with an invoice with all the codes your medical aid requires. Submit this, along with your proof of payment, e.g. from internet banking, to your medical aid. Most medical aids allow you to submit claims electronically via their website.
What if you can't help me?
If I am unable to help, I will refer you to the appropriate person, e.g. sports doctor, chiropractor.
How long will it take?
The first appointment usually takes between 45 minutes and one hour. Follow-up appointments are 30, 45 or 60 minutes but we will decide on the amount of time we need when we book the appointment.
Do you work on weekends?
I don't usually work on weekends. If you have an emergency, you can contact me and I'll do my best to help.
What if I'm running late or can't make it?
Please let me know! If you can't make it, please phone, sms or email me! Someone else might need that slot! Appointments cancelled at less than two hours' notice will be charged for.
